picking a better lens.... Hello, I own a Canon EOS 300 slr. I recently decided to change lens. I chose the Tokina 28-210 lens, I'm asking a professional opioion. Was this a decent choice???I only found 1 bad review, but the owner said it probably had to do with his shaking hands. I decided to buy a heliopan 72mm UV haze filter.(used) from B&H photo. would this help it???. Since I don't like the pop-up flash I bought a Metz flash for it. I get jaw-dropping pictures. I just want to know will this lens be a good investment???? Thanks..Chris...cahilliard62@yahoo.com

>>"I get jaw-dropping pictures. "<< Sounds like you have a good lens that meets or exceeds your expectations. Why do you care what anyone else thinks?

What lens you are using with 300SLR? I agree with Jon C., if your pics are really nice then you need not worry. I was myself having such worries in the start then I realised that like the camera I have to practice a bit with the lens as well.

I was using the standard lens with my canon EOS 300..35-80mm, the only problem I had was the pop up flash, it didn't generate enough light for me, that's why I bought me a Metz flash unit.. I'm like your question you ask Asad niaz. I used it to I was very familiar with it. Now it time to move on to the 28-210 lens. I like SLR's, but my digital...(Fuji S5000) is about to take over. 35mm will be my backup and maybe starter on some photo scenes...thks..Chris..And thanks Jon Close for that information, it was very helpful......
