Why do I keep getting hotspots on my subjects face

When I shoot my images my histogram looks good my exposure meter in the view finder is in the middle at 0... and My subjects get little hot spots. I shot today and it was overcast using my 70-300 lense 2.8 what am I doing wrong.

Linda...if everything else looks okay and the hot spots are indeed just little ones they are easy to remove in Photoshop. Sometimes they are difficult to avoid, but they can be removed. I'd be glad to give you an easy method if you use Photoshop.

Sandy :-)
