Nighttime Rodeo Photography
My Husband and I shoot nighttime rodeo sometimes and we have a hard getting the focus due to low light and our lens not focusing fast enough. How can we solve this problem?

Switch to manual focus. Focus on a spot where you expect the action to be and shoot when it happens there. No, you won't get every shot but you will get your shots in focus. Also, use as small an aperature as possible to increase the depth of field, giving yourself some leeway for the focus.

Get an external flash. Most external flashes have an infrared sensor/meter built-in that helps a camera focust much faster, even in complete darkness.
