Night Photography at High School football game
I wanted to ask someone who has had experience with this; I have been using shutter and aperture priority settings but still get allot of blurred pics. Generally the ISO has been 200, I am going to manually change to 100 or 50 at next game to experiment. I only have the built in flash and have access to sideline of entire field. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions; I would like to stop action as best as possible. Also, should I be using the the Sports action setting?

Hi Dave, If you are taking at night, why switch to iso 100 or 50 when u have to up it to 400 or 800. You can also add a hot shoe flash with more power to work with zooms. Keeping shutter priority is okay as long as u use the right film, lens and flash. Switching the film isn't necessary at all. With more light from film, faster lens and flash, it will give u more stopping power.

Thanks ISHAK...I guess I should have mentioned this is a 4 mp digital camera...so "film" is cheap"...I currently don't have an external flash or additional lenses...this is probably part of my problem too. I heard great reviews on this before buying...I just want to get all I can out of what comes stock on it. For night shots under stadium lights, maybe I should switch to aperture priority so to adjust for max light coming into camera, any thoughts on that?
