A tripod lamp....a real cool accessory to have. I have no idea but am taking a guess that the small piece is maybe used as stand-alone ie., when it is not to be placed over the tripod, instead screwed to a nearby supporting object...could be, maybe. UB.

You might go online to the product's website and see if there are instructions. Also try googling it. Maybe someone discovered the solution to your problem! Good luck!

need a picture or description of other sides of that. If there's a hole in it, it might be an umbrella holder. The white cap looks like a thread protector. That part goes on the screw to the light stand. The umbrella shaft would go thru the hole and you tighten down with the knob. But after zooming in on it, it could be made to have the umbrella shaft fit between the concave black thing and the convex silver part. The only other thing I can think of now is it might be a boom arm adapter. Or for track lighting. The post goes in thru the side hole of the base of the light. Doesn't look like a good design. If it's for an umbrella you would need an extra stand. Might be made to go with a ball head.
