Photography Question

What are my options for upgrading my lights

I have a set of Victor Smith Hotlights(3-two with and umbrella and one on a boom) That I have been using for a couple of months. When I use them I get a very yellow cast to my photos. The lightbulbs are 250 Watts with a medium screw base. I am wondering if I can get better light just by getting better lightbulbs instead of upgrading all of my equipment.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chantelle - I had the same light set up and used it for a year. No matter what I did in my home studio (small bedroom) they were just too hot and I had to do so much correction in PS. After cooking a few people to death -- and try a family with 6 children simmering under those hot things! -- I decided I had to do something different.

Debby Tabb on the Studio Lighting thread was a tremendous help in getting my new lights that have different power levels and I LOVE THEM! I decided to hang onto the hot lights for highkey and chromakay lighting.

I don't know about using different bulbs; I love my new lights and they have made a huge difference. Good luck! - Laura
