vivitar lens identification

please help me. I have 2 vivitar lenses. one is a vivitar nu: 28907052 & the other is a vivitar nu: 28921258. how would I find out what camera these would fit? is there a reference chart for this? or other markings on the lens itself? I already know how many mm's they are. just not what camera's they will fit. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I don't think you can identify the mount by the serial number, but there may be some other markings/codes on the lens, such as P or K for Pentax, C or CA for Canon, Y, C, or Y/C for Yashica/Contax, M for Minolta, N for Nikon. This link has photos of different mounts that may help:

Jon, Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I am a newbie at this, so I may have questions in the future. And I appreciate the fact that people take the time out of their busy lives to answer them. You have a great day. And thanks again.
