Hi Sara: I'm sure that someone around here knows your particular camera, although I'm not one of them. Generally, however, if the shutter won't release, there's no need to advance the film. If the camera uses batteries, replace them all even though the light meter seems to work. Clean all the battery contacts and see if that allows the camera to power-up and reset itself.

In the alternative, contact the seller, tell them the camera isn't what it seems to have been represented, and return it for a refund.

what happened was I took a picture, and when I went to advance the film so I could take another, the thing to pull that advances the film would pull back, but it wouldnt advance the film. so now I cant take any pictures. I will try replacing the batteries and see. if the problem persists, I will ask around in the family, or if worst comes to worst contact the seller.

thanks so much.
sara.

Do you have the manual. If not, you can download a free manual in pdf format here:

Good luck.
