Camera bodies that work with Vivatar zoomlens

I have a vivatar 75-200mm zoom lens that work quite well on a Minolta Maxuum. I want to purchase a digital SLR. Do I need to stick to Minolta or can I purchase another digital SLR and still use the Vivatar lens?

The Vivitar lens with the Maxxum mount can only be used on a Maxxum camera. The Maxxum 7D is (so far) the only digitial SLR you can use that lens on.

What are the particulars of your Vivitar 75-200? While there are some terrific Viviatar lenses, this may not be one of them. The 7D is a terrific camera, but I would not base my decision about a $1500 DSLR on whether it could use a $100 lens I already have.
