What is the best camera for a beginner?
At this time I am just a student of basic photography. I don't have my own camera yet. What type of camera is best for me. I am eyeing for a nikon for a film based camera. I am being offered F3 nikon camera w/ 50mm 1.4 lens. Is that type appropriate for me? I would also like to know what is the best digital camera for me?

Take the Nikon. It is a great camera with a great lens. Built like a tank. Offers full manual exposure and manual focus. Auto everything is convenient but you will learn so much more doing it yourself.
