Flatbed or film scanner Please help !!! I want to start shooting medium format slide film and use a scanner to put the images on my P.C.. My problem is I don't know anything about using a scanner and I have a very limited budget. Can anyone suggest something for me in the price range of $100.00 to $200.00? I would like to have a unit that will make a decent print up to 8x10. Thank you !!! James

If it's medium format you'll be doing, look at Epson's scanners as low as 2400 ppi (pixels-per-inch). Be sure it comes with a negative adapter. My guess is that it'll be over $200, but not by a lot.
