Terra: There is a discussion about this camera at another topic on the Q&A. "How many megapixels do I need?"

Check the New Responses section to find it.

A good place to checkout quality pictures for your digital camera or to be your digital camera is here at this link...

http://www.pbase.com - they have a lot of digital camera resources including pictures posted by users.

There are lots of digital camera review sites on the web...
Some examples are:
www.dpreview.com
www.dcresource.com
www.steves-digicams.com
www.megapixel.net

BP also has reviews from the actual camera users - which I really like. You can also e-mail people at BP who have the same camera (by viewing pictures taken by this camera you can write to some of the people and ask them directly what they think about it...)

I personally have the Fujifilm S5000 and love it! The 10 x zoom is amazing! Check out the Buffalo bills shot in my gallery - I was in the very last row of the stadium! I just wish it had more megapixels, but I know they have newer ones coming out now...

Good luck in your search!

Wow! It has been a while. I did ended up with a Fuji S7000 camera and loved it, but unfortunately the camera failed to recognizes the CF last Tuesday of 12/27/2005. It is in for repair...

Meanwhile and after some researching for the best dSLR for the $$$. I ended up with an Olympus E500 dual lens kits from Costco for $799 plus tax. It even comes with a 256MB xD. The only thing I did not like from it is the 17.5mm to 45mm lens. I also found out that Olympus ship this product in two different lens kit. One is the 14mm-45mm and the other is 17.5mm-45mm.

I prefer the 14mm-45mm for the wider angle.

Please provide me with info on the two lens size.

Thanks,

TL
