Looking to but a new lens for my camera

Hi ya...I'm looking to buy a new lens for my Canon EOS. I'm looking at zooms and wideangle/zooms. The pictures I take are for the most part landscapes. I've found myself drawn to photographing the New York skyline at night lately. The shot I'm searching for is a full moon rising over the city. I also find myself on excursions to the Big Apple wanting to take the occasional zoomed in detail shot of some of the buildings from street level and of people from a distance. I'd appreciate any insight you might give me in a lens that would incorporate those types of shots. My budget is $400. Thanks...John

Canon has the EF "USM" AF lenses for the EOS you have, and the "USM" L lenses---Please check the following websites cuz your budget range is APPROPRIATE! Broadway Photo ( www.bywayphoto.com ), A & M Photo World ( www.amphotoworld.com ) and Smile Photo ( www.smilephotovideo.com ). Have a great time!

I would check for an older L series lens. 50-200 3.5-4.5 is a nice solid deal at around 300.00 bones. Make shure it is an L thow they made the same thing in non ED glass.
