MAKINON 28-80mm Hello All! Has anyone experienced using a Makinon 28-80mm f/3.5-4.5 before? I have a Nikon FG and planning to buy a Makinon lens. Please help, thank you. Ron Bernardo

Makinon lens, Were sold in the 1980's they were consumer grade I tried one out and was not impressed with it, Your $$$ would be better spent on a better quality lens. Go to the 3rd party lens page this may Regards John Papandreou

The Nikkor 28mm f2.8 AIS is one of the best 28's made by anyone. The 85 f2 is likewise excellent. Nikon never made a bad 50mm. If you must have a zoom, try a Nikon. See keh.com for prices on good used lenses. A lens they rate as Bargain is usable in every respect. With these no name lenses, you'd be, as we say down south, buyin'a pig in a poke. (Poke is an old word for a sack. You can't see what you're getting.)
