How to use Fstop on Canon EOS K2 I have a Canon EOS REBEL K2, I am new to photography and have an assignment to take a roll of film shotting a still life using all the F stops. Are the F numbers the same as the Aperture value you see in the view finder? How do I set the F stop?

Yes, the f-numbers are the aperture values. Set the camera for Aperture priority (Av mode) and set the aperture with the Main Dial (wheel just behind the shutter button). The camera will automatically determine the appropriate shutter speed. At small apertures (high f-numbers) the camera will need longer shutter speeds necessitating a tripod. If you don't have the instruction manual, you can download it as a pdf file free from Canon USA. link

That's all in the manual. Set the mode dial to AV(aperture priority) you change the aperture with the top dial by the shutter button.

Thank you for your help. I do have the manual but it didn't say anything about F-numbers in it and I wasn't sure if they were the AV. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
