New to SLR advice on camera I just beginning to use SLR cameras, I want to buy a Canon EOS Rebel 2, on ebay, but I need to find the full specs on that camera, also, if it is worth buying for SLR, it costs about $60, comes with lense, flash and stuff. I don't want to venture in the digital SLR just yet, (price a bit steep at the moment). Also I'm sure it's way better that any conventional 35mm cameras out there. Thanks

d'oh. typo in the link. The specs for the various Canon models can be found at their online Canon Camera Museum. All the Rebel models are good entry-level SLRs. You may have hit on a bargain, but for only $60 I would want some assurance that it is in working order, and would be very skeptical of the included lens and flash. If they were any good they'd each sell for more.

Thanks for the info, that camera doesn't have a built in flash but comes with the attachable one, also doesn't have QD (silent film advance and rewind). The seller claims he has only used it once and he went DSLR, that's why the great deal... Anyhow, as long as it works I'll be happy.. It's an older model (circa 1992-94), but that looks like a good deal. Congrats.

I won't have a problem finding accesories, like lenses, flashes, etc.. Those 6 V 2CR5 lithium batteries are sold everywhere right? if so are they rechargable? Thanks

Not as common as AA, but 2CR5 are readily available. No, they are not rechargeable.

"Not as common as AA, but 2CR5 are readily available. No, they are not rechargeable." And you shouldn't consider that a problem, really. These lithium batteries in the film Rebel will last a really long time - it's not like putting disposable batteries in a digital camera where you'll run through them quickly. Congratulations on a good deal. I'm sure you'll enjoy your new camera. Chris A. Vedros

And the flash unit uses AA, so, those are no problem at all.. I didn't find 2CR5's in Walmart last night.. I maybe have to buy them at at photo store..

Try a drug store like Walgreens or CVS. They usually have them. Chris A. Vedros
