Cap and Gown Portraits

I'm interested in shooting basic in studio cap and gown pictures. What types of professional film are commonly used to photograph senior portraits? What are your opinions on AGFA Portrait 160?

If you plan on shooting a lot of Potrait 160, you'd best hurry and buy what you can. As of two weeks ago, Agfa is not coming out of their bankruptcy, the deal with Ilford fell through and they're selling it off bits and pieces at a time. Agfa film and paper and processing chemicals will soon be a thing of the past. Try shooting in black and white with Ilford Pan F 50. Give them a kind of 1950's look. :>)

There's the Kodak Portra 160NC and Fuji NPS 160.

For punchier colors you can try Kodak Portra 160VC and Fuji NPC 160.

Trannies, (from what I hear) Kodak E100G and Fuji Astia 100F. I've used Astia and it's pretty nice.
