confused minolta

i have just last week aquired a minolta camera. the problem is i'm not sure which one it is. on the front it say's af 7000 but I have seen af 7000 and qd af 7000 are these the same as they look the same. also what is the "M" setting on it. I know that a= apature and "S"= shutter priority but what does the "M" mean?

Almost certainly M stands for manual - i.e. you select both shutter speed and aperture.

On the front upper left is "7000" and "AF" just below it, and "MAXXUM" on the upper right? It is the Maxxum 7000. Download the free .pdf of the manual from Konica-Minolta. QD version is the identical model, but with a Quartz Date feature.
