Cross Processing

Hey I'll be shooting this weekend and I thought I'd play with some stuff to see how it turns out. I'm going to shoot some velvia and astia and process them c-41. I know this makes wild wacky photos so I thought it'd be fun. but anyways I saw somewhere they said...

"Push your film 2 stops. If you shoot 200 speed, shoot it at 50."

Question: Pushing 200 would be rating at 800 right? and pulling 200 would be 50? I think they got their terms mixed up so do they mean push, or do they mean pull?

also do you think push/pull 2 stops is adequate or have you guys used anythign different? thx.

Justin
