Glamour photography poses & props

I am fixing to do some glamour photography (NOT NUDE GLAMOUR). I have been doing photography for about 2 years now (families, high school seniors, weddings, engagements) but, I have never done glamour photography. I need some advice on props, best backdrop colors and best poses. I like unique poses, not the every day poses. (I prefer to do candid shots I don't much like posed shots.) Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check out some books at the library in the photo section. Borders has a pretty good selection. Also, depending on which kind of glamour you're going for, even looking at the books that include nude work may even help. Just put clothes on the model.

I think for the poses, since you want unique ones, you'll need to figure some out and not ask for the "best poses" hehe. Sorry, just had to go for that one. I think that much of glamour is posed, even if it doesn't look like it.

I haven't really done this besides some experiments, but if there's something special that you're trying to show off, make sure to concentrate on that item. There's a reality show on TV that I really like to watch called America's Next Top Model. It's got Tyra Banks as the 'host.' Each episode the competing models have 1 or 2 photo shoots and they will often show clips from each shoot and there might just be something on the show that will spark creativity.

Hope this helps!

Oh, the show is on UPN as well. Credit to them.
