Photography Question

The right embosser

I would like to purchase an embosser for my photographs, to emboss my name at the bottom corner. I checked with an office supply store today and they said what I wanted was a heat transfer embosser from an art supply and crafts store. Theirs would emboss my name, but if I wanted it colored I needed the heat type. Is this true? What I want to do is emboss my name in gold lettering at the bottom of the pictures. What is it that I need to buy? Thanks.

"A friend of mine signs some of his stuff with a small rubber stamp of his signature. He has gold ink for it, and he normally places it diagonally across the lower right corner of the print on the white margin next to the matte."

Found this question on another web site forum, and this was the answer given. Does this help? I've been using gold and silver ink pens, but then I was using them to sign canvas prints. The idea of having a stamp appeals to me, I'm terrified of ruining an expensive canvas by making a mistake as I sign it!!

I know what you mean. I would hate to ruin the photograph too. I will look into this. BTW, I LOVE your gallery. Thanks Elisabeth.
