I am learning (thru the help of all of you) to take better photos. I was playing with the camera yesterday afternoon & snapped a picture of our flag blowing in the breeze. Would you be so kind to let me know what is good about the photo & what can be improved? My eye simply sees a flag & some sun! Thanks for the help.

Kathy, I really like this photo. It is nice & clear, and has nice bright colors, and I like the angle that you used. Good work. Jen

View it with your heart rather than your eyes and you will see a lot more.

Kathy, Kerry has the right idea. Don't think of it as photographing "a flag and some sun". Unless, that is all you want to convey in the picture. Think about what makes it special and why you want to photograph it. Then try to portray that in the image by using what you know on the technical side.

Thanks guys for the opinions. I never thought of looking at a photo like that before. But it makes sense. That why an artist can convey so much emotion in a picture, because he "feels" it & doesn't just see it. See how good you guys are!!!! Thanks
