Classes Ok, I'm fairly new to BetterPhoto.com and am learning alot! I have a question about classes - what sort of time commitment do these require? I already go to school, work and have a couple of kids - I don't want to be sorry if I try to do this at the same time as final exams! (only 3 college courses and I'm fairly comfortable in those, but they will require a little of my time, too) Ballpark guesses on time required would be great - thanks, everyone! Beth

Beth, I have taken only one BP class.I took Kerry's Light and Composition and it was great. Each week, I received a lesson and an assignment. The lesson was not overwhelming and the assignment was to take, if I remember correctly, was to upload up to 5 images to support the particular lesson. You will need to set aside enough time to take a few shots; but, you should be able to find subjects very close to home, even in your own backyard. The object is not to produce a masterpiece, but to illustrate that you understood the subject of the weekly lesson and could apply the concept with your photos. By the way, I learned quite a lot from the instructor, but learned significant lessons from my fellow classmates--very supportive. I think Kerry took great delight when we had comprehensive discussions among ourselves. I'm looking forward to taking my second class next "term." John

Beth, Kerry is an EXCELLENT instructor. I took his composition and light class in June. I really learned a lot from him. He is super fast with the critiques and answering questions. Almost faster than you can post them, which is great because you can apply them to the next lesson as you are doing it.
