Best RAW to final jpeg class? All, I'd like recommendations on the right post-processing class for me. Here are my objectives: First, I use PSE4. What I'm most in need of right now is to nail the RAW conversion, To take a good exposure and make it as good as it can get. That would include judicious use of the PSE equivalent to curves / levels, and developing an effective & efficient workflow. I want to know what to do to increase sharpness while not increasing noise too much, etc. I need to understand the right order to apply changes, etc. Here are things I am not really looking for right now: I'm currently going through the "Missing Manual" book, and I find it good to explain where the tools are, and (at a high level) what they do. What I need is to understand *how* to use them. I have the "Hidden Power" book, but I've not even started using it. Thanks all for your help. JD

Hi JD, Thanks for your interest in BetterPhoto's online classes! Here are some possibilities: Advanced Adobe Photoshop Elements Or take a look at our other offerings: For any class that seems interesting, be sure to check out the Course Outline and Q&A (Questions) links at the top right of each main course page. Hope that helps, JD!

Thanks Kerry, I had taken a look at the course offering (though I had not noticed "Camera RAW Processing", thanks for bringing it to my attention). I had also considered Richard Lynch's "From Monitor to Print". I was hoping to hear from people who have actually taken some of those classes. JD

If you are looking at working on the total process, and I think you are, then I think my course will help you out. We start with color management, and work our way through corrections that you can do with any image, and then move on to output issues. The final assignments are making prints with a digital service to be sure you have the process nailed. I can pretty much guarantee you'll come out of the course knowing more about how to approach any image, and with a solid set of steps in your workflow.
