Facebook link problem! I would just love to know why every image I have shared on Facebook no longer is visible? If you click on anything I have posted recently it goes to this page ...http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery.php#.UxmBBbu2XMs.facebook I have been accused of posting SPAM to sell BetterPhoto products by several people which is a bit upsetting! I love BP, but I would really rather have folks be able to see my images I have posted here instead of a page promoting BP! I do not like posting actual images on Facebook due to people who can just steal anything posted there. At least when you share from BP to FB, the link used to take you to your BP gallery image which cannot be copied.

Another problem I am having is that even though I check the box to be notified if anybody comments on a image I have uploaded when I go to "Email Notifications" under the "Discussions You've Initiated" it is turned off. I have to physically go in and change it back to "Yes" and even then, I am only getting like one email for an image I have maybe 12 comments on...I also noticed that the Photo Flash and Digital Darkroom newsletters seem to have disappeared? What is going on with BP? If it isn't broken, why fix it?

Good morning Jill. I think the problem is because the link to access, recent entries, doesn't work. I know there is some kind of glitch with POTD. Now there seem to be lots of glitches. I'm sure they are working on fixing the problems.

Donna, I am not having any problem accessing the recent entries if I go to the contest link at the top of the page and click recent entries from the drop down list, but,,,after I just commented an about 2 dozen images I went back to check my email and had notifications about all the images I had just commented on! Something is really messed up at BP! It kind of takes the incentive to comment away if I have to physically go back and change the notification of every single image I comment on!

Jill, I wonder if your "default" setting for comments is turned on, by accident? Try turning it off and maybe that will do the trick. Just go to your Member Center then click "My Info." You'll see something like this: ----- I'm hoping your default setting is set to "receive" and it's a simple matter to change it back to "not receive."

Thanks ken, but I have already tried that. The thing that gets me is that I never touched anything and somehow I stopped getting any notifications about all the comments on my images. When I looked they were all set to Off. When I upload I always check the box to be notified, somehow it isn't going through. When I changed it to receive I started getting emails about everybody else's comments on the pictures that I commented on. This is not the first time this has happened over the years. It is somebody messing around on BP's end of it. At this point I am now magically getting my emails, so I am not touching anything... The thing I am really upset about is that all the images I have shared since October on Facebook can no longer be seen. If you click on the link it takes you to : http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery.php#.Utb_1oMMewo.facebook. As a result my professional page at Facebook is now useless unless I want to sell websites on BP!

Jim wrote me a very nice email and I sent him links for my page on FaceBook and a couple of the images I had shared from BP to that page that when you click on them no longer go to my image here on BP. Hopefully he can help me restore all the broken links since October...Everything I have posted for the last couple of days works fine. Maybe I will just have to write off the older ones...It was so nice of him to take the time to personally address my problem. Thanks Jim :-)
