Photography Question

Janice M. Borodezt

How to view photos entered for the contest.

I would like to view and comment on the photo that are entered for the photo of the day.

Not the photo that is chosen for the Photo of the Day but the batch that is entered for consideration.

How are those photos viewed. I would like to comment on some before the the final photo is chosen.

POTD's are selected from the regular contest entries and, unless I'm mistaken, only the judges know which ones make the final cut to eventually end up as a Photo of the Day.

Yup---Janice, you can also view the past Photos of the Day (in the P.O.T.D. Archive) but there isn't a separate entry pool for P.O.T.D. consideration---every contest entry members make is a possible candidate. Just like with the Contest Finalists & Winners, BP doesn't share the "eliminations" rounds leading up to the final selections.

If you go to the top of this page and drop down the menu under Photos, you can view Editor's Picks for the month. That will give you a way to look at a more select group than Recent Entries. Problem with Editor's Picks is that the order is random so you will see some again and again and may never see others. It can be fun, though, to get an idea of which ones caught the editors' eyes on the first round.
