Photography magazines
I'm a very amateur photographer, but I'm learning. My main subject is my 19-month-old son. I love your website and have learned a lot. I'd like to subscribe to a magazine for more tips. I'd prefer one that's not too technical, since I'm still learning. I'm especially interested in ideas for poses, settings, lighting, etc. What magazine would you recommend?

The first magazine I subscribed to for this purpose was Peterson's Photographic. I found it to be very useful. In addition they publish a special edition each year, "Big Book of Photography" which is on newstands now. This has great tips on taking people pictures.
