Hi,I am looking for some oppertunity for Portrait and Wedding photography. Not sure Where to start from? I live in bay area - CA and will be more than happy if anyone wants any kind of assistant. Suggestions are welcome! Thanks

Hi Vishal,you had best go about it in this sequence: – get the appropriate gear
– learn how to use it
– get experience (shoot, shoot, shoot)
– latch on to a wedding photog as a second shooter and do at least a half dozen weddings that way
– advertise. Good luck.

Maybe before you race out and buy a lot of equipment, perhaps extraneous equipment, consider getting the experience as an assistant first. To do that, I highly recommend you contact ASMP's northern Calif. Chapter and completing an assistant application. Maybe you could do it in your spare time.
