Online ATMs? Micro stock sales, your ideas... How would you like to get a bit more exposure, more business, and make a little extra pocket money, effortlessly? I'm looking for photographers who are 'self supported' from micro stock photo sales. And who would be interested in sharing their acquired knowledge with the world. Self supported means USD$1K + per month, from work that you 'did once.' For example, micro stock sales - you submitted images last year and now they earn you a certain amount every month, without you doing anything much. :-) (Basically passive income from micro stock sales or website downloads, Google Adsense etc) Right now I just want an idea of who might be interested. Just fire an email to me at: hurleyboy [at] gmail. com when convenient. Check me at: http://martinhurley.com Thanks.... Martin

Interestingly, what struck me first about Martin H. is that it appears he would give you the shirt right off his back as both photos here and on his website are sans shirts. Maybe we should send him a BP tee shirt. Autumn is coming. Insofar as soliciting for "artistic exposure" is concerned, I noticed the two images on his web page don't say who holds the copyright to them. Just one tells us where it may have come from. The other with title only, no photo credit and no copyright info. One of the problems I've noted with microstock agencies all along is the lack of attention to significant details like copyright, releases, end user licensing agreements, publication rights, and especially photo credit for work used for editorial purposes. As far as raking in 1K a month from microstock, IMHO I don't think that's feasible for most people simply because of the volume of images you need to be submitting for how little money they pay for each image. This as opposed to a larger, (shall we say more) professional stock agency like Getty, Corbis, Associated Press or even Magnum for that matter, among others. Most of the best and most reliable info I've seen on stock and the photographic industry in general, comes from a monthly trade publication called Photo District News, (PDN). Take it light. ;>)

Martin sells (or at least tries to sell) an eBook about how to earn money online with photography. Now he's looking for people who are actually having success doing this. Maybe none of his customers have earned any money and he's looking for some tips that work. The best scheme for earning money is to convince suckers that you have a scheme for earning money and then get them to pay you for it.

Yes I live in Thailand, it's kinda hot here. I never really put copyright and logos and photo credit across my photos. By the way, all the shots on my site are mine. The t-shirt is a good idea too. Great points Mark. Here's the ebook that I (try) to sell :-) http://digitalphototoolkit.com Funny thing it just keeps on selling. Be good. Martin

Hey Todd: Sorry about bursting your bubble buddy. Tell ya what: send me $20 bucks, I'll look around and find you a tee shirt to ship to ya. And if you act now, I'll toss in a bottle of bubble soap. How's that? Such a deal eh? M.

So if the practical application means low return for the individual, put the theory and potential of it's extreme case scenario in book form, and sell that to the masses?
