Elderly photo shoot

I have been asked to take a Christmas Picture for an elderly couple and I was wondering how much I should charge? Also, how should I present the pictures afterward? Can I let them choose from my computer or do I have to do something else?

Well it all depends on what you are going to do. I think you should base your fees on an hour. I am sure the shoot will take about 15 minutes to prepare and test shoot and then maybe 30 minutes for poses. I would suggest bringing your laptop and showing them the photos right after the shoot if they look good enough and do not need post processing (maybe do it on the fly in 15 minutes) and have them select the pose then and there.

From there, go home and re-edit the shot and make it look even beter.

My suggestion is $35-50 sitting fee (do you know them, have you been doing this a while, will you need to set things up a lot, how much time do they want from you, what will they photos be used for, etc...) and then charge them for the photo enlargements based upon the sizes and quantity that they want.

$9 for a 4x6 (or 8 wallets), $12 for a 5x7, 22 for an 8x10 seems like a good starting point. for prints.
