What is this process called?
What is the process called when a picture is in black and white with a touch of color (example: a bow in a child's hair)? How is process done and what software is used to create that image? Thanks, Jan Granger

Roses
example of colorization tool in Microsoft ProDigital

I have done this in the program I used called Microsoft ProDigital. After turning the photo black and white, or sepia in this case, I used the colorization tool. I choose a color for the roses then used my mouse to simply paint over the rose. I have attached the picture below. I believe that Photoshop has another way of actually bringing back the color of the original photo in chosen areas. A fabulous example of this is in Mellanie White's member gallery on a photo called Sleeping Cherub (one of my favorites.) You should take a look and if that is what you mean, contact Mel.
