Monthly theme Color Popping Techniques Can anyone help me with the category this month: Color Popping Techniques? I looked thru entries and they are all over the place. I can't find any kind of explanation, so I thought I'd ask here.

Since we don't get explanations or examples, if the themes aren't obvious, all we can do is guess. I'm equally puzzled by "Trees in an Expansive Landscape".

Erica, my take on it is using filters to make the colors POP in an image...like using Nik or Topaz filters... Martha, my take on the trees thing would maybe be like a big field with a lone tree? Or maybe a mountainside covered in trees? I always just post whatever I think it means to me, or if I am not sure I put it under the Catch All category :-)

Thank you both for your replies. I look at the category and still can't tell. I get the tree one but not the color popping. If it said selective color or color changing or different wording it might be more clear. I can pop colors just by adding contrast.

I am with you Erica, as I also did not understand the true meaning of the category, so what did I do? I have mixed it up. I have put one with selective coloring entry, one where I increased the saturation, another one will just be fall colored lit leaves against a blue sky. So, basically whatever excites my fancy :)
