How to Download Photos from My Website A while back, Melody sent me instructions on how to download photos from my site, back into my computer, after it crashed and I lost my photos. She said to log into My BetterPhoto Member Center and to click on edit photos. I have gone to www.betterphoto.com, but do not see the link to My BetterPhoto Member Center. I need to copy a number of photos from my site and place them in my computer and need help getting started. Thanks,

Hi Don; as far as I know (10 years on the site) there is no way to retrieve anything *from* your website other than screen captures at the displayed size. For instance, if you uploaded a 2000x1000 pixel image, and BP displays that at 800x600 -- you can screen capture the 800x600, but you can't "retrieve" the original 2000x1000 file. I know folks have reached out to BP Tech Support -- but I suspect that is a dead end -- BP would have to maintain even more file server space, if they stored everyone's full-sized images (that they, BP, never display.) I believe once you upload your file, regardless of size, BP makes an 800x600 (or thereabouts) copy -- and does not keep your original after that point. -Chris

You can only get back a small version of it. No way at this time to download a larger copy. I don't even know if you can get a small version unless you have a website. You used to be able to go to your page and pick edit this photo, then you can right click and hit save as and it will show up as a small version. And I do mean small. Not usable for anything.
