Buying a zoom lens I am considering buying a Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6 super APO zoom lens for Nikon. My camera has an F-mount, but the lens says "AFD." I assume that means autofocus with a D-mount. If that is the case, are the two parts compatible? Also, what exactly does APO mean and what does it do? I am looking at this lens because it seems reasonably priced and has the zoom capabilities for which I am looking. Thank you. PS. Currently, I have a 28-80 aspherical lens. I was wondering what aspherical means and what it does.
