Which lense is suitable for nature photography Recently I have puchased a Nikon FM 10 Manual SLR camera with 35-70 zoom lense as I am interested in nature photography I would like to have your opinion regadring what type of lenses are best suited for the purpose.(Please mention Make,Range,Type and approximate cost in UD$, Rerads, Nitin Raut.

Nature photography to me is a rather broad genre. What are you going to be shooting? Scenics? Wildlife? Plants and insects? Macro? Give us something to go on.

For scenics wide to normal lenses are nice. Occasionally, a longer lens will also come in handy for compressing perspective. Like when you are shooting distant hills or mountains. But for most shots wide angle lenses are most effective. For birds (I don't do birds so this is an educated guess), I would say a zoom in the range of a 70-200 or 70-300 would be a good choice. I'm not a Nikon guy so I can't tell you specific lenses but if it were me I would look for a 28-70 zoom and a 70-200 zoom.

Birds? hmmmmm... Try looking for a 600mm telephoto at least, unless you're shooting ostrich. 200mm is nice but birds won't let you get near enough.
