UV and polarizing filter, what is the difference ?
What is the difference between a uv filter and polarizing filter. I have a UV filter. Do I need a polar filter in addition.

A UV filter filters out bluis ultraviolet light. It helps to take blue our of shadows and reduce apparent haze caused by the UV light. A polarizer filters wavelenghts of light and reduces reflections and helps to darken and saturated colors. Do you need one? That's up to you. I like to use one to darken blue skies or to enrich foliage colors by reducing the glare. It is one of the more useful filters you can own.
