What do you think about New York Insitute of Photography?

They've been around for a long time. I've seen their materials and I think it's a good solid way to learn photography if you are just starting out. I think like anything else you get out of it what you put in. I think it costs between $700 & $800. So you have to decide if it's worth it to you or not. Probably all that is in the NYI course is info you could find at a bookstore. I think the advantage of NYI is that they've organized it for you and they give you assignments to complete which they critique for you.

I've been doing photography on my own for a number of years but wasn't satisfied with my work, last year I finally decided to take the nyi course and believe you me , I 've learn alot about photography that I could not learn on my own or just reading camera manual. The course worth every dime and more, my advice go for it.blaksam_953@yahoo.com
