The lilac-breasted roller (Coracias caudatus) is the jewel of the South African bush (personal opinion). They are most of the time very relaxed and have a big interest in cameras. (Just to fly away when you are ready to press the button! This one lifted off just when i pressed the shutter button - to my great delight!
