The Lioness's prowess
This photo was what I consider a rare moment caught by pure luck. I was at the zoo, pre-covid, viewing the different types of animals in their varying habitats. When we got to the lion exhibit, this particular lioness was lying within a few feet of two younger lions. One of them decided they were tired of their current patch of sun and wanted their elders and went after her. I managed to catch the exact moment she snapped at the naive lion. After what I'm assuming was a stern talking to and a slight hit to the ears, she went to lay down in the better patch of sunlight, yawning with laziness.
