I tried for a Tilt-Shift lens effect in Photoshop, using gradient selection, lens blur, high-pass sharpening and boosted saturation & vibrance.
The goal of the effect is to make an image resemble a photograph of a miniature model scene or diorama.
The image was taken walking on the new Tillman Bridge bypass, south of the dam; the single-arch concrete bridge soars 900' off the canyon floor.
The bridge's shadow (here, 4 pairs of verticals and a partial, rainbow-shaped curve) is cast on the dam's face in the late afternoon sun.

FANTASTIC SHOT The work while WAY OVER MY UNDERSTANDING LEVEL was great in achieving your goal.
Don't know if I could keep lunch down if I were to walk the new span... Then again don't know I could manage the walk period..

Happy Shooting
Jack

  Thanks, folks!
Jack, it was easier than those terms describe... there are some great tutorials on the technique online. While it is a neat effect, I'd also LOVE to have the $1,200 to spend on a real Tilt-Shift lens, to get "true" results!
