About John Tubbs
In the last several years, photography has gone from an interesting hobby to a primary focus of my life. Since I also enjoy writing, I have combined the two interests by writing and illustrating articles, and have been fortunate to publish several pieces in national magazines. (A recent example publication is in Country Discoveries magazine, June/July, 2006, page 13 - three images and an accompanying article on Native American dip netting on the Deschutes River in central Oregon.) I also enjoy birding, and have recently been focusing on shooting birds in addition to specialty travel, landscapes and scenics. I've lived in the Pacific Northwest since 1979 and never tire of the photographic opportunities offered by this unique area of the country. Thank you for visiting my gallery!
