About Raven Schwan-Noble
Raven Schwan-Noble is a self-taught photographer with a unique sense of viewing the world around her.. Her works vary from photos of Vermont, people and nature, especially the world of birds.. She has won several awards for her photography.. One a Kodak Kinsa Contest where she was on display in Epcot/Disneyworld Florida for a year. Locally Raven is well known and has won recognition in the Grand Isle Art show, the Champlain Valley Fair where her photo, Damselflies and Reeds took the top honours in over 900 entries.. Her work has been on display in Barnes and Noble, Bryan Memorial Art Gallery, Jeffersonville, VT., Arts Alive in Burlington and Manchester Center VT, Grand Isle Art Works, Maritime Museum, Vergennes VT, Helen Day Art Gallery, Stowe VT, Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge, Swanton VT and Chaffee Art Gallery, Rutland, VT. Raven was recognized at the Burlington City Arts-KINship: a Celebration of Art and Poetry. She was awarded Poet's Choice and People"s Choice for her work titled "Meditation"~ The need that photography fills in my life is that it grounds me.. It gives me a sense of peace and calm.. Photography helps me stop and look around, to try and capture the images that I see: the detail in a bird's wing, the beauty in a sunset, the brightness in a child"s eyes, Life's happenings day to day. It teaches me how to be in the "Moment" every day.
