About Sharon E. Lowe
Having enjoyed photography since I was in high school, I rediscovered my passion for this creative outlet a number of years ago. I photograph many subjects in both color and black and white and devote a lot of time to taking night and low light photos. I also like to experiment with some simpler technology. Thus, I have a Holga, Zero Image pinhole camera, and a ColorSplash camera in my arsenal.
For my portrait work, I take the time to learn what my clients want out of their portraits and what fits with their house and lifestyle. I do architectural work also, specializing in photographing new houses for sales brochures.
I entered the stock photography business to provide another outlet for my images. Most of my stock images are travel related, animals, or concepts and ideas.. My stock images are represented by Alamy - a leading portal for both general and specialist stock images and Fogstock - we see what you mean.
I am a member of several professional groups, including Professional Women Photographers, Professional Photographers of America and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.
I've written several articles on photo and Photoshop tips, which can be found at Photos by Sharon.
My photo "Emerald Way" (in the Industrial Nights gallery) received an award at the 2003 Pembroke Arts Festival. One of my night images from Mono Lake was in an the "Darkness, Darkness" exhibit at the Boston Convention Center.
