About Jessica Boklan
Two years ago, on a trip to Tibet, my 15 year-old point & shoot film Ricoh camera broke. I was able to make it through the trip with the help of some medical tape (see my Everest photo). However, when I returned, it was time to purchase a new camera.
I had two questions. Do I make the switch from film to digital? Do I buy a good camera and take up serious photography, as I have always wanted to do? Before I knew it, I had a new Canon Eos 20D, had signed up for a photography course by mail, and was on my way. . . . Two years later, I still have a lot to learn, but hope to continue increasing my skills (in all my free time as a busy physician).
My main interests are travel and animal photography. As you can see, my two Jack Russell terriers, Henry and Sierra, often serve as practice models (when I can catch them).
I hope you enjoy my photographs. I appreciate any input.
