I bought my first SLR camera in 1990 when I made my first trip abroad to England and France. Up until then, I was always the one with a point and shoot camera back in school and on family events, but now a trip like this was worthy of a real camera! This trip to Europe encouraged the travel bug, and together with my husband, we have had the opportunity to travel to all seven continents...including a cruise to Antarctica, and 75 countries around the world. My forte is really centered on travel photos, but I also enjoy the occasional photo shoot of flowers, and of course, portraits of the people we meet in far-off places. Many of our travels are on cruise ships so many of the places we toured have only been one day excursions in a new country, but at least it gives us a prospective of the unique differences in these countries, but also traveled extensively through Italy, Japan, China, Australia,India, Africa and Argentina. I started digital with a Nikon D200 in 2006 and moved up to my present camera, a Nikon D500. The pandemic put a halt to our travels in 2020, but now have a few scheduled cruises to Rio de Janeiro/Buenos Aires, London/France/Spain, Montreal/New York so hopefully I can add more to my gallery!
