About Nanette B. Stephens
I became very interested in photography thanks to my husband who was the one who got me started in taking pictures. He bought me a Nikon N80 SLR with a 28/80 lens and then later a Nikon D70S Digital SLR, and I use his 28-105, Nikor 70-300, and 18-35 lenses. I also now use my Nikon Coolpix S570, and my husband's Nikon Coolpix L100. I have no upgraded to a Nikon D300 Digital SLR and absolutely love it. I started taking pictures of our daughter riding and showing our horses, our German Shorthair Pointer puppies when my husband would get one, and as always, at all holidays I always took various group shots of my nieces and nephews. My nieces and nephews, who are now all grown up, carry on the tradition as well as me. We now have 2 German Shorthair Pointers who I love to photograph when out hunting with my husband. When he bought me my Nikon N80, I took 2 non-credit photography classes at our local community college to learn more about how to use my camera and the different settings for taking pictures. I love to photograph our dogs in the hunting field and am reading about taking action photographs and how to take great action shots. I love shooting all types of wildlife/nature, going to horse shows and shooting portraits and action, winter scenes, sunsets, old buildings (farm, silos, etc.) and children. My husband and I love to go for drives looking for interesting and different pictures, and I always take my camera with me to and from work in case I come across any interesting shots and am able to stop and take them. I want to start my own stock photography business using the pictures I have taken as a side job while still maintaining my full time job.
