Textures
We have a bike path across the street from our house and there is a big cottonwood tree that has a section of the trunk missing which left a big opening. I took this close up of the exposed trunk section to show the various textures that make up the trunk. I took this with my Nikon D300, F6.3, 1/13s. manual and it was cloudy and lightly raining. I love how the textures can look like so many different things. Just use your imagination.
