I've been taking photos for fun for many years. I became passionate about improving my skills after returning from Italy in 1998. The photos were okay, but not WOW! After a trip to Iceland (& 19 rolls of film), I purchased a Nikon 990 digital and moved away from film so I could practice, practice, practice without breaking the bank.

I now own a Nikon 8800 and have taken some classes here at Betterphoto. I recently went on a second trip to Italy and can say that my skill has improved. I have an ongoing love affair with photography!
