Simply Red
This is one of the band stallions on Black Mountain HMA. I have spent the summer photographing all 112 and soon to be 113 as one mare has yet to foal. I just refer to him as Red. He has a small band; one mare, her filly and often hanging out with them is an older beat up bay roan stallion. Red is very curious and friendly. He often approaches closely and examines me when I sit down nearby on the range to just enjoy watching them. I often just talk to him as he wanders and grazes nearby and offer him a ride home in my Jeep.
