Thank you for your comments. The charging lion's name is Zeus and he lives at the Shambala Preserve in Acton, CA. I have been acting staff photographer there since 1982. The photo was taken of him in his compound through chain link fencing. I used a 70-200mm Canon lens on a Canon EOS1D Mark ll. The fencing was shaded from the sun so I made it disappear with selective focus. I left the settings on Program. The ISO was set to 400. I believe the shutter speed was around 350-400th/sec. The aperture was probably around f8. I used Photoshop to clean up the background and modify levels.
